Marketing from the field
I'm Head of Marketing in e-commerce for small household appliances. Here I write down what I learn at work: how brands grow, what works in online retail, how to lead a team and what AI actually changes about all of it. With evidence where there is some. With an opinion where I have one.

About me
I've worked in marketing and sales for more than 20 years, many of them in finance. Since late 2025 I've been running marketing across Europe for an Austrian e-commerce company selling around 400 small household appliances, leading teams across borders. My work draws on empirical marketing science, above all Byron Sharp and the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute, and on David Ogilvy's principle that advertising has to sell. I use AI every day, from product copy to analysis. It makes us faster. Decisions are still made on data, not gut feeling.
